Kenny's graduation

So hard to believe that my baby boy has graduated.  This kid is amazing not only is he a high school star athlete that has accomplished every sports goal he had in high school.  He is also is a brain.  Graduated High honors, 45th in his class of 386 within top 17% of his class over a year of college behind him and an advanced regents diploma (did more then he needed to graduate)  All well also being a three season athlete which many don't do, maybe 10% of high school athletes play all seasons.  He makes me proud to call him mine.

On the way to graduation was learning to use new camera
Graduates walking into be seated it was ironic he got to walk in next to one of his best friends
 Picture after walking across stage
With his very best friends these kids have no clue what they are going to do after this summer they have been in every single class together since 4th grade, they have never not had a class together

I love this picture after rehearsal and senior walk about 20 of them decorated their caps together
These two have become great friends since high school.  Another pair I have no clue how they are going to get along with out each other.  He leaves for the air force on July 11th Kenny already misses him.
Grabs the camera from me and takes a selfie of course with his eyes closed we have to take 3-5 pictures of him always and hope we get one with his eyes open
The non-girl friend, girl friend as I call her.  They broke up in February but nothing has changed from when they were dating.  She is the main reason for his college choice also.
This man has been there for Kenny for the past 6 years of cross country and track his son stopped running after freshman year but Dave still comes to lots of Kenny's meets to watch him run texts him when he can't be there to see how he has done.  He even went to the states meet to cheer him on.  He is like a father to him
These two I can't even explain they are so much like brothers and have been friends since 7th grade, Kenny has stayed on the straight and narrow and he hasn't but that doesn't mean the brotherly love these two have for each other has changed after this picture they hugged for about 5 mins and when they stopped both had tears in their eyes I don't have any clue what that conversation was.
These two have known each other most of their lives and are like brothers also and know for a fact that will never ever change, I have 4 kids and his parents have 4 and they are all great friends with all being the same ages

My grad having to take one more picture at home

Busy week with Kenny

Very picture heavy post.  For some reason I don't have high honor banquet pictures on my computer or there would be more.  First off last weeks senior sports banquet.  Kenny with one of his best friends.  One of his oldest friends also.  These two boys have been thru so many years together.
Boy's with their cross country and track coach at sports banquet
This scholarship which is in memory of a long time track coach he received along with another close friend her mom has pictures of the two of them with their plaques for me but I haven't seen her yet
He also received this award but should have received Athlete of the year has better record then the one that received thru out high school but the other was not getting a scholarship, Kenny was his parents give lots of money and their time to our sports boosters so it is what it is.  Records prove whom was the true athlete of the year in the school not the politics.  He even had the athletic director fighting for him to get the athlete of the year scholarship but oh well.
Yesterday was graduation and the kids senior walk thru their elementary schools we have 4 in the district then they all met back at the jr high walked thru there as a class where they had a luncheon for them after then as a class they walked from the Jr high back to the high school which are separated by sports complex.  These were at the elementary school where I got to see my baby boy in his cap and gown.  I am still having a hard time as I have even with the two older ones.  Now that I am down to the last two it is even harder.  When this class was in 5th grade they had to spend almost a full year at another elementary due to renovations in the 4-6 grade wing of their school.  The principal from the school they were being housed in is now the principal at their elementary school.  He knew alot of the kids due to that year they were at his old school.  So many times parents and kids alike yesterday heard from teachers and staff this was always my favorite class, the school secretary told me they only had to look up a few kids in the school directory that they couldn't remember whom they were when they got their 6 grade class pictures back from being blown up to put on the doors for the kids.  This class also in 6th grade also lost their beloved head custodian to a motorcycle accident.  There was a poster put up to tell the kids they knew Mr. R was proud of the class of 2017.  After their walk thru the school they had the kids go in the cafeteria so that staff and old teachers could talk to the kids.  I think that just about every teacher had an aid or sub in their classroom since they were all with these kids.  They wanted a photo of the graduates outside, someone had to tell them they had some of them roaming the school.  They actually went with the principal to raid the school store of what ever they wanted.

Kenny and one of his very best friends since elementary They will be the best of friends thru out their lives. If they can survive college with out each other that is.
These three were great friends in elementary always together and still very good friends now
Kenny and his most favorite person in the elementary school the school secretary.  She let these boys do what ever they wanted in 6th grade.  Kenny spent alot of time at her house with her grandson for many years.
Forever friends

They are more like brother and sister then anything else.  Thru out the last two years of highschool they have gone their own separate ways but always will be close and there for each other when they need
There are always room for new friends.  This one just entered public school after home schooling for his senior year.  They became instant friends.  His graduation party was this past weekend where his father told Kenny he wished he had decided to go to high school before this past year due to the very close friends he made.
Favorite cousins.  She calls him her favorite Deloff, he calls her so many different things.  He gets confused.  They are 3rd cousins, she works as an aid at the school is out of work right now due to foot surgery but had to be at the school for his senior walk.  She made someone hold her crutches so they wouldn't be in the picture
These two I can't even think of where to start.  They share a cousin, they have known each other since they were babies.  The countless hours they have spent together, the friendship like no other, the video games they have spent hours upon hours playing.  The pizza rolls they have consumed together.  The hours they have spent driving their parents nuts together.  The countless videos they have made together even in the halls of the highschool between classes, tripping each other in the halls.  These two boys have stuck together thru thick and thin, and I love them both and am so proud of both of them.
