We send alot of time at the fire department since my brother has been a firefighter since the year Maranda was born. Christmas parties, rehersal dinners, halloween parties, family reunions, birthday parties, you name it we've been there for it. The kids favorite thing todo is play in the fire trucks especially the resuce truck, it has been everything imaginable the favorite has been a space shuttle, after the Christmas party last year the kids played for hours inside of it there were about 8 kids doing this so long that we had to order pizza and wings for dinner about 8pm. That night one of the other firemen took all the kids for a ride in their newest, largest firetruck they loved it. Sirens, lights and all. All these kids are between 9-13 and love that they still have the imagination they have when playing in the rescue truck, the training dummy is also carried by them all and used when they are playing.

Why we were at the fire department yesturday, they had a mud fest just Makayla and I went because the other kids had their own things todo with friends it was fun as always
This was after it was done the girls all decided it was thier turn to play, for hours in the mud obsticle for hours

Never knew girls could get so dirty this was when we made them get out about 3 hours after they first got in needless to say they spent about an hour and a half in the firehouse showers trying to get caked in mud out of their hair, and is still not all out after a bottle of shampoo then they were using hand soap in thier hair
All I can say is they had fun, another day two cousins that are best friends shared and loved, after the showers they reinflated the bouncy house and slide and had fun until the wee hours of the morning
